1.93

若我慳悋心悔等者。我則欺誑十方等文。兩處用之。謂我慳悋乃至起於二見相者。便不能起六波羅蜜。我即欺誑十方佛也。設我能修六波羅蜜。若以施戒忍進禪智求淨報者。我亦欺誑十方佛也。

Regarding “if I am stingy and my mind has regrets,” and so forth: the passage stating “I would then be deceiving [the Buddhas of] the ten directions” applies in two places. It means that if I am stingy and so forth, up to giving rise to the marks of dual views, I will be unable to bring forth the six pāramitās; thus I would be deceiving the Buddhas of the ten directions. Even supposing I could cultivate the six pāramitās, if I were to seek pure rewards through giving, morality, forbearance, vigor, dhyāna, and wisdom, I would also be deceiving the Buddhas of the ten directions.
