趣向一切智炬等者。如因執炬光發十方。賴善知識智分十力。故善知識為智炬也。
Regarding “the torch of approaching all-knowledge,” and so forth: just as by holding a torch light shines in the ten directions, so by relying on good spiritual friends wisdom unfolds into the ten powers. Therefore, the good spiritual friend is the torch of wisdom.
