賢護。若在家出家人。若從他聞。至心欲見。念念不亂。即見彼佛純金色。賢護。彼佛無來無去。唯心所作還見自心。若成就諸佛現前三昧者。欲見隨念即見。何以故。有三因緣。一者緣此念佛三昧。二者緣彼佛願力加持。三者善根純熟。具三因緣故。即見彼佛。不用多功。見已歡喜。

Bhadrapāla, whether householders or monastics, if they hear from another and with the utmost mind wish to see [him], and thought after thought is not disordered, they will immediately see that Buddha of pure golden color. Bhadrapāla, that Buddha has neither coming nor going; it is solely the creation of the mind, returning to see one's own mind. If one accomplishes the samādhi of the direct presence of all buddhas, wishing to see [him], one immediately sees [him] in accordance with mindfulness. Why is that? There are three causes and conditions: first, due to this samādhi of reciting the Buddha's name; second, due to the empowerment of that Buddha's vow-power; third, the roots of goodness are pure and mature. Because they are endowed with these three causes and conditions, they immediately see that Buddha without spending much effort. Having seen him, they rejoice.
