4.52

爾時，世尊說此頌已，告常笑菩薩：「緣報緣緣報，至道無礙報，三寶真性報，行趣涅槃報，世俗無著報，一向究竟報，是謂菩薩摩訶薩最第一義；無染無著不可獲持，不著欲界亦不離欲界，過有、當有、現有，非過有、非當有、非現有報，無生無滅，菩薩摩訶薩從百千劫通達不障礙，令等分眾生解空本報，口業成就音響通達。

At that time, having spoken this gāthā, the Bhagavat told Nityahasita Bodhisattva: 'Conditioned retribution, condition-of-conditions retribution, the unimpeded retribution of the ultimate path, the true-nature retribution of the Three Jewels, the retribution of practices tending toward nirvāṇa, the unattached worldly retribution, and the definitively ultimate retribution: these are called the supreme primary meaning of the bodhisattva-mahāsattva. Unstained and unattached, it cannot be seized or held; neither clinging to the desire realm nor apart from the desire realm; past existence, future existence, present existence, and non-past, non-future, non-present existence retribution, unarisen and unceasing. Bodhisattva-mahāsattvas penetrate it without obstruction throughout hundreds of thousands of kalpas, enabling sentient beings of equal allotment to understand the original retribution of emptiness, with verbal karma accomplished and sounds completely penetrating.
