迦葉告阿難言：「佛所說法一言一字，汝勿使有缺漏。菩薩藏者集著一處，聲聞藏者亦集著一處，戒律藏者亦著一處。」

Kāśyapa told Ānanda, "As for the Dharma spoken by the Buddha, do not let a single word or single syllable be lacking or omitted. Compile the Bodhisattva Piṭaka in one place; compile the Śrāvaka Piṭaka in one place; and put the Vinaya Piṭaka in one place as well."
