7.63

爾時火神白善業菩薩言：「識言非也。何以故？火能熟物亦為光明，樹木華果隨時成長，若無火者識何所依？以是義故識言非也。」

At that time, the fire deity said to Bodhisattva Kuśalakarma: “What consciousness says is false. Why is that? Fire can ripen things and also serve as light, so that trees, flowers, and fruits grow in their due seasons. If there were no fire, upon what would consciousness rely? For this reason, what consciousness says is false.”
