佛復告彌勒菩薩摩訶薩：「若有善男子、善女人禮事供養此經典者，欲得面見十方諸佛，一心歸命無他異想，即時得見十方諸佛。若有善男子、善女人發大誓願：『我今欲使地獄休息，餓鬼、畜生無煩惱病。』一心歸命諷誦此經，諸苦惱眾生皆得解脫。」

The Buddha further said to Maitreya Bodhisattva-mahāsattva, “If there are good men or good women who pay homage to, attend to, and make offerings to this scripture, and desire to see the Buddhas of the ten directions face-to-face, single-mindedly taking refuge without any other thoughts, they will immediately see the Buddhas of the ten directions. If there are good men or good women who make a great vow: ‘I now desire to make the hells cease, and hungry ghosts and animals to be free of afflictions and illnesses,’ and single-mindedly take refuge and recite this sūtra, all afflicted sentient beings will obtain liberation.”
