If there are kulaputras or kuladuhitṛs who, hearing the names of these buddhas, the bhagavats of the three times and the three kalpas, joyfully believe and take delight in them, uphold, chant, read, and recite them without slandering them, or are able to write them down and speak them for others, or are able to paint or erect images of the buddhas, or are able to make offerings with incense, flowers, music, praise the buddhas’ guṇas, and pay homage with the utmost sincerity, this surpasses someone who fills the buddha-kṣetras of the ten directions with precious jewels and pure maṇi pearls, heaping them up to the Brahmaloka, and gives them as dāna for hundreds of thousands of kalpas. These kulaputras and kuladuhitṛs, having already made offerings to these buddhas, will in their future rebirths attend upon the buddhas successively, until they attain buddhahood without end; all of them will receive vyākaraṇa from the buddhas of the three times and three kalpas. Wherever they are born they will always encounter the triratna, obtain rebirth in the kṣetras of the buddhas, have all six sense faculties complete, not fall into the eight unfree states, and obtain the buddhas' thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks, fully adorned. If they are able to perform prostration with the five limbs and declare with their own mouth: “I now pay universal homage to all the buddhas of the ten directions and the three times; may the three evil destinies come to rest; may the state be abundant and the people at peace; may sentient beings of wrong views turn towards the correct path and arouse bodhicitta; holding this merit, may I, together with all sentient beings of the six realms of rebirth, be born in the land of Amitāyus, make great vows, cause all sentient beings to be born in that kṣetra, with bodies having all the marks, and with wisdom and eloquence like Amitābhabuddha, and the karmic retribution obtained be lofty and magnificent, with immeasurable life.”
