1.22

「又復弟子，無始已來至于今日，或以鞭杖枷鎖、拷掠打擲、手脚蹴踏、的縛籠繫、斷絕水穀，如是種種，諸惡方便，苦惱眾生。今日至誠，皆悉懺悔。

'Furthermore, we disciples, from beginningless time until the present day, have used whips, rods, cangues, and chains, beating, flogging, striking, and hurling, kicking and trampling with feet and legs, binding tightly, caging and penning, and cutting off water and grain—in all such various kinds of evil expediencies, distressing sentient beings. Today, with utmost sincerity, we confess and repent of them all.
