In this Bhadrakalpa, the names of the Buddhas appearing in the world are as such. If someone hears the names of these thousand Buddhas and has no doubt or error, they will certainly attain nirvāṇa. All wise ones, upon hearing the names of these Buddhas, should be single-minded and not entertain laxity, practicing diligently with vīrya; let not this condition be lost, falling back into the durgatis to suffer various afflictions. Firmly abiding in śīla, following bahuśruta, always delighting in seclusion, and possessing deep forbearance, such a person will be able to encounter the thousand Buddhas. If one upholds and recites the names of these thousand Buddhas, the manifold sins accumulated over immeasurable asaṃkhyeya-kalpas will be extinguished, and one will certainly attain Buddhahood, the various samādhis, unhindered abhijñā wisdom, as well as the various dharmaparyāyas and dhāraṇīs. All varieties of wisdom of all the scriptures, expounding the Dharma according to what is appropriate, are all to be sought from within this samādhi. Cultivating this samādhi, one should practice pure conduct, produce no deception, be free from fame and gain, harbour no jealousy, and practice the six points of reverent harmony. Practitioners such as this will swiftly attain the Dharma of samādhi.
