"Then, having consoled the practitioner, Vipaśyin Buddha immediately transformed a great jeweled lotus like Mount Sumeru. The Buddha sat cross-legged upon the lotus and, for the practitioner's sake, preached mindfulness of the Buddha and mindfulness of the Dharma, and spoke of ten billion whirling dhāraṇīs. Having seen this, the practitioner redoubled in joy and bowed in reverence to that Buddha. That Buddha said: 'If there are sentient beings who hear my name or make obeisance to me, the sins of five hundred billion kalpas of saṃsāra are eradicated. You now see me, having eliminated all hindrances, and have attained immeasurable billions of whirling dhāraṇīs; in a future age, you shall become a Buddha.'"
