"Mahākāśyapa and his retinue of five hundred transformed themselves into a lapis lazuli mountain, upon which were flowing springs, bathing ponds, and rows of trees of the seven treasures. Beneath the trees were golden couches with silver radiance, which transformed into caves. Mahākāśyapa sat in this cave, constantly sitting and never lying down, instructing his disciples to practice the twelve dhūtas. That mountain, like a cloud moving faster than a fierce wind, proceeded to the ancient ṛṣi mountain. Mahāmaudgalyāyana and his retinue of five hundred transformed hundreds of thousands of nāgas whose coiled bodies formed seats. From the nāgas' mouths fire shot forth, transforming into a golden terrace with seats of the seven treasures, fully furnished with jeweled curtains, jeweled canopies, banners, and streamers. Maudgalyāyana remained in their midst, like a man of lapis lazuli, clear and transparent inside and out, proceeding to Nagarahāra. Śāriputra, by his supernatural power, transformed into a snow mountain with caves of white jade; Cunda and the other five hundred novices sat in caves of the seven treasures surrounding the snow mountain. At that time Śāriputra sat in the white jade cave, like a golden man emitting golden light, whose multicolored rays shone upon and illuminated the snow mountain, as he expounded the Great Dharma for the novices to receive and hear, proceeding to that kingdom.
