"Mahākātyāyana and his retinue of five hundred bhikṣus transformed into lotus blossoms resembling golden terraces, upon which the bhikṣus sat. From beneath their bodies water issued forth, becoming flowing springs that coursed among the blossoms without dripping onto the ground, and above them were golden canopies covering the bhikṣus, as they also proceeded to that kingdom. In this way, each of the one thousand two hundred and fifty great disciples, with five hundred bhikṣus each, displayed various supernatural feats, just like Śāriputra, Maudgalyāyana, and the others, leaping into the sky like soaring king geese, proceeding to that kingdom.
