此教乃是一切如來瑜伽祕要，三摩地門密供養儀，內心自修甚深方便普賢願行，意趣簡妙近而難知，雖約事相而明運以瑜伽妙觀，凡所施為無非佛事，明智君子善擇所師，勿教我慢之流。不從師學尋文臆斷取相滯名，殊不知瑜伽深旨，迷惑之甚也。此法大教雖即具明，修行者卒難尋檢，又不明先後次第，今故纂集以傳諸未悟，惟博學通人更為詳定。

This teaching is the secret yoga essential of all Tathāgatas, the esoteric ritual of offering of the samādhi gate, and the inner cultivation of the profound expedient of Samantabhadra's vows and conduct. Its meaning and aim are concise and wondrous, close at hand yet difficult to fathom; though explained in terms of external ritual marks, it is operated through the wondrous yoga contemplation, so that whatsoever is performed is none other than a Buddha's work. Let the discerning gentleman select his master with care, and not let the arrogant be taught. Those who do not learn from a master, but instead follow the text, guess arbitrarily, grasp at appearances, and cling to names, truly do not know the profound purport of yoga, being exceedingly deluded. Although this method is fully set forth in the great teachings, practitioners find it difficult to search and examine all at once, nor do they understand the sequential order. Therefore, I have now compiled this work to transmit it to those who have not yet awakened; I only hope that learned and comprehensive scholars will further correct and refine it.
