"In the Kareri pavilion": in the sitting hall made not far from that very karerī bower. That karerī bower, it is said, was between the Perfumed Cottage and the hall; therefore the Perfumed Cottage, the Kareri cottage, and the hall are all called "the Kareri pavilion." "Connected with past lives": having linked it with past lives, which are reckoned as the continuity of aggregates lived in previously, distinguished as "one birth, two births," and so on, it proceeded. "Dhamma [talk]": connected with the Dhamma.
