Hill, where they approached the presence of the Tathāgata, bowed their heads at his feet, circumambulated the Buddha three times, and sat to one side. At that time, the Tathāgata's rays of light illuminated a world realm called Guṇaprabha, eighty kotis of nayutas of buddhafields away to the south. In that world realm, the Buddha named Lakṣaṇābhisaṃcaya, a Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, a Sugata, knower of the world, unsurpassable charioteer of persons to be tamed, teacher, victor, the Buddha, the Bhagavān, was dwelling in a buddhafield called Utterly Pure. That buddhafield was also exceedingly level, its ground made of lapis lazuli and marked into squares by lines of refined gold. Trees of the seven kinds of precious substances grew there, and those trees were as high as an arrow-shot, adorned with flowers, fruits, branches, and leaves. When stirred by gentle breezes, they emitted melodious sounds, hearing which ordinary beings never grew weary. Here and there were springs, ponds, and bathing pools, completely filled with water possessing the eight qualities, and the bottoms of the pools were spread with golden sand. On the four sides of the pools, the surface of the water was completely covered with delightfully fragrant lotuses, puṇḍarīkas, pāruṣakas, and other blue, yellow, red, and white flowers as large as chariot wheels. Upon those waters, flocks of diverse birds uttered exceedingly pleasing, sweet notes. Within those pools were boats made of the seven precious substances, in which many beings enjoyed themselves and made merry at will. Between those precious trees were arranged lion thrones one yojana in height, adorned with the seven precious substances, over which layers of divine robes were spread, pervaded by the fragrance of divine incense
