When the king heard the teaching of the sublime Dharma, his heart was filled with supreme joy. He instructed the princes and ministers as follows: "If you have love and affection for me, retain this Dharma in your minds without forgetting it. To fulfill this great king's mind of love and compassion, everyone should write it down, recite it, chant it, study it, familiarize themselves with it, contemplate its meaning, and diligently practice it in accordance with what has been taught!'" At that time, when the many people heard this proclamation, they rejoiced and were delighted. For the sake of all sentient beings, he has practiced what is exceedingly difficult to practice!" Thus praised by all, everyone wrote it on paper, silk, bark, wood, and stone, and studied it through recitation. They also wrote it in places where many people gathered and made it visible to everyone, causing them to arouse the mind directed toward unsurpassed awakening. At that time, through the radiance of the thousand lamps planted in the great king's body offered to the great teacher brāhmaṇa, the worlds of the ten directions were illuminated, and from the light of those lamps the sound of the Dharma consisting of the half-verse resounded, causing everyone to arouse the mind directed toward unsurpassed, perfect awakening. By the light of those lamps, the heaven of the Thirty-Three
