روح افزا سرمایهٔ‌ انواع فتوح حاصل کردیم و زنگ غم و اندوه را بهصیقل مکالمت تو از آیینهٔ‌ ضمیر بزدودیم اگر رخصت دهی زمانی بهنوشیدن جام شراب دلگشای و باختن شطرنج راحت افزا مشغول شویم، شعر:

bounty of diverse triumphs, and with the polish of converse with you we have erased the rust of grief and sorrow from the mirror of our mind.
If you permit, let us spend a while drinking a cup of heart-expanding wine and playing a game of comfort-increasing chess.' Verse:
