Mr. Erskine writes and Ilminsky, perhaps following him, Pāpā. Bābā—i.e. darling—would seem a more fitting name for one who is said to have been much beloved.
She was a low-born wife of Sultān Husain Mīrzā Bāīqarā and foster-sister of Āfāq Begam. The mīrzā ‘saw her and liked her,’ and she became mother of seven of his children, i.e., four sons, Muhammad Ma'sum, Farrukh Husain, Ibn Husain, Ibrahim Husain, of three daughters, Dilshad-sultan, Sa'adat-bakht, and a third whose name Babar does not give.
