paume ṇaṃ bhaṃte! egapattae kiṃ egajīve? anegajīve?
evaṃ uppaluddesagavattavvayā niravasesā bhāṇiyavvā| sevaṃ bhaṃte! sevaṃ bhaṃte! tti|

"Venerable Sir, is a single-leaved lotus (padma) one jīva or many jīvas?"
