"Venerable Sir! For the inhabitants of hell, are pudgalas agreeable or disagreeable?"
"Gautama! They are not agreeable pudgalas, they are disagreeable pudgalas."
"Venerable Sir! For the Asurakumāras, are pudgalas agreeable or disagreeable?"
"Gautama! They are agreeable pudgalas, not disagreeable pudgalas. Likewise up to the Stanitakumāras."
"Venerable Sir! For earth-bodied beings, are pudgalas agreeable or disagreeable?"
"Gautama! They are agreeable pudgalas and also disagreeable pudgalas. Likewise up to human beings. For the Vāṇamantaras, Jyotiṣkas, and Vaimānikas, it is as for the Asurakumāras."
"Venerable Sir! For the inhabitants of hell, are pudgalas pleasant or unpleasant?"
"Gautama! They are not pleasant pudgalas, they are unpleasant pudgalas. As 'agreeable' was stated, so also 'pleasant', 'desirable', 'dear', and 'agreeable to the mind' are to be stated. These are the five series."

"Venerable Sir! Is a deva of great supernatural power, up to, of great majesty, able to manifest a thousand forms and speak a thousand languages?"
"Yes, he is able."
"Venerable Sir! Is that one single language, or a thousand languages?"
"Gautama! That is one single language; it is indeed not a thousand languages."
