je ime bhaṃte! ajjattāe samaṇā niggaṃthā viharaṃti, te ṇaṃ kassa teyalessaṃ vīīvayaṃti?
goyamā! māsapariyāe samaṇe niggaṃthe vāṇamaṃtarāṇaṃ devāṇaṃ teyalessaṃ vīīvayai| dumāsapariyāe samaṇe niggaṃthe asuriṃdavajjiyāṇaṃ bhavanavāsīṇaṃ devāṇaṃ teyalessaṃ vīīvayai|
evaṃ eeṇaṃ abhilāveṇaṃ–timāsapariyāe samaṇe niggaṃthe asurakumārāṇaṃ devāṇaṃ teyalessaṃ vīīvayai|
caummāsapariyāe samaṇe niggaṃthe gahagaṇa-nakkhatta-tārārūvāṇaṃ jotisiyāṇaṃ devāṇaṃ teyalessaṃ vīīvayaī|
paṃcamāsapariyāe samaṇe niggaṃthe cadima-sūriyāṇaṃ jotisiṃdāṇaṃ jotisarāīṇaṃ teyalessaṃ vīīvayai|
chammāsapariyāe samaṇe niggaṃthe sohammīsāṇāṇaṃ devāṇaṃ teyalessaṃ vīīvayai|
sattamāsapariyāe samaṇe niggaṃthe saṇaṃkumāra-māhiṃdāṇaṃ devāṇaṃ teyalessaṃ vīīvayai|
aṭṭhamāsapariyāe samaṇe niggaṃthe baṃbhaloga-laṃtagāṇaṃ devāṇaṃ teyalessaṃ vīīvayai|
navamāsapariyāe samaṇe niggaṃthe mahāsukka-sahassārāṇaṃ devāṇaṃ teyalessaṃ vīīvayai|
dasamāsapariyāe samaṇe niggaṃthe āṇaya-pāṇaya-āraṇaccuyāṇaṃ devāṇaṃ teyalessaṃ vīīvayai|
ekkārasamāsapariyāe samaṇe niggaṃthe gevejjagāṇaṃ devāṇaṃ teyalessaṃ vīīvayai|
bārasamāsapariyāe samaṇe niggaṃthe anuttarovavāiyāṇaṃ devāṇaṃ teyalessaṃ vīīvayai|
teṇa paraṃ sukke sukkābhijāe bhavittā tao pacchā sijjhati bujjhati muccati parinivvāyati savvadukkhāṇaṃ aṃtaṃ kareti|
sevaṃ bhaṃte! sevaṃ bhaṃte! tti jāva viharai|

"Venerable Sir! As for these śramaṇa-nirgranthas who live today in noble conduct, whose te悍leśyā do they surpass?"
"Gautama! A śramaṇa-nirgrantha of one month's ascetic standing surpasses the te悍leśyā of the Vāṇamantara gods. A śramaṇa-nirgrantha of two months' standing surpasses the te悍leśyā of the Bhavanavāsī gods, excluding the Asurendras.

A śramaṇa-nirgrantha of twelve months' standing surpasses the te悍leśyā of the Anuttaraupapātika gods.
