"Right here in the continent of Jambūdvīpa, in the realm of Bhārata, at the foot of the Vindhya mountains, in the settlement of Bebhela, [she] will be reborn as a daughter in a brāhmaṇa family.
Then, when that girl has left childhood behind and attained youth, her parents will give her as wife to a suitable husband for a suitable bride-price and with suitable modesty.
She will become a wife to him—beloved, charming, up to agreeable, like a treasure-casket, well-guarded like a flask of oil, well-kept like a chest of garments, well-protected and well-guarded like a casket of jewels, so that cold, heat, up to hardships and afflictions may not touch her.
Then one day, that girl, being pregnant and on her way from her husband's family to her maternal home, will be struck midway by the flames of a forest fire, and having died in the fullness of time, she will be reborn as a god among the southern Agnikumāra gods.
Departing immediately from there, [she] will obtain a human body; having obtained it, [she] will realize the perfect enlightenment; having realized it, [she] will become shaven, and renounce home for homelessness.
Even there, having violated monastic conduct and died in the fullness of time, [she] will be reborn as a god among the southern Asurakumāra gods.
Departing immediately from there, [she] will obtain a human body; having obtained it, [she] will realize the perfect enlightenment; having realized it, [she] will become shaven, and renounce home for homelessness. Even there, having violated monastic conduct and died in the fullness of time, [she] will be reborn as a god among the southern Nāgakumāra gods.
Immediately after that, in accordance with this recitation, among the southern Suvarṇakumāras; likewise among the Vidyutkumāras; likewise, excluding the Agnikumāras, up to among the southern Stanitakumāras.
Departing immediately from there, [she] will obtain a human body; having obtained it, [she] will realize the perfect enlightenment; having realized it, [she] will become shaven, and renounce home for homelessness. Even there, having violated monastic conduct, [she] will be reborn among the Jyotiṣka gods.
Departing immediately from there, [she] will obtain a human body; having obtained it, [she] will realize the perfect enlightenment; having realized it, [she] will become shaven, and renounce home for homelessness. There, having not violated monastic conduct and died in the fullness of time, [she] will be reborn as a god in the Saudharma heaven.
Departing immediately from there, [she] will obtain a human body. There too, having not violated monastic conduct and died in the fullness of time, [she] will be reborn as a god in the Sanatkumāra heaven.
Departing from there, as in Sanatkumāra, so in Brahmaloka, Mahāśukra, Ānata, and Āraṇa.
Departing immediately from there, [she] will obtain a human body; having obtained it, [she] will realize the perfect enlightenment; having realized it, [she] will become shaven, and renounce home for homelessness. There too, having not violated monastic conduct and died in the fullness of time, [she] will be reborn as a god in the great celestial abode of Sarvārthasiddha.
Departing immediately from there, in the realm of Mahāvideha, among such families as exist—wealthy, up to unvanquished—in a family of such kind [she] will be reborn as a son. Thus, as recounted in the Aupapātika regarding Dṛḍhapratijña, all that narrative is to be recited without omission, up to supreme omniscience and all-perceiving vision will arise.
Then that Kevalin Dṛḍhapratijña will direct his attention to his past time; having directed his attention, he will summon the śramaṇa nirgranthas; having summoned them, he will speak thus:
'Indeed, O noble ones! In the long-past time, I was Gosāla Maṅkhaliputra—a slayer of śramaṇas, up to who died while still in the unfree state.
And owing to that, O noble ones, I have wandered through the long course of the beginningless, endless, four-cornered wilderness of saṃsāra.
Therefore, O noble ones, let none of you become an adversary of the ācārya, an adversary of the upādhyāya, one who causes disrepute, dispraise, and ill-fame to the ācārya and upādhyāya, lest he too, just like this, wander through the beginningless, endless, long course of the four-cornered wilderness of saṃsāra, just as I did.'
Then those śramaṇa nirgranthas, having heard and understood this matter from the Kevalin Dṛḍhapratijña, being afraid, terrified, frightened, agitated by the dread of saṃsāra, will pay homage and bow to the Kevalin Dṛḍhapratijña; having paid homage and bowed, they will confess that matter, repent, censure it, up to undertake appropriate expiatory austerity.
Then that Kevalin Dṛḍhapratijña will spend many years in the state of an omniscient one; having spent them and knowing his remaining lifespan, he will renounce food, and as told in the Aupapātika, up to make an end of all suffering."
"It is so, Venerable Sir! It is so, Venerable Sir!" [Gautama said,] and continues to dwell.
