"Venerable Sir, when a man, [wondering] 'Is it raining? Is it not raining?', bends or extends his hand, or foot, or arm, or thigh, how many activities does he incur?"
"Gautama! As long as that man, [wondering] 'Is it raining? Is it not raining?', bends or extends his hand, or foot, or arm, or thigh, so long is that man touched by five activities: the bodily activity (kāyikī), the instrumental activity (adhikaraṇikī), the malicious activity (prādoṣikī), the tormenting activity (pāritāpanikī), and the life-depriving activity (prāṇātipātakriyā)."
