teukkāiyā ṇaṃ bhaṃte! kaohiṃto uvavajjaṃti? evaṃ puḍhavikkāiyauddesagasariso uddeso bhāṇiyavvo, navaraṃ–ṭhitiṃ saṃvehaṃ ca jāṇejjā| devehiṃto na uvavajjaṃti| sesaṃ taṃ ceva|
sevaṃ bhaṃte! sevaṃ bhaṃte! tti jāva viharai|

"From where, Venerable Sir, are fire-bodied beings reborn?" Thus the chapter should be stated similar to the chapter on earth-bodied beings, with the distinction that one should understand the lifespan duration and the saṃvedha. They are not reborn from among the gods. The rest is just the same.
"That is so, Venerable Sir! That is so, Venerable Sir!"—up to [the Lord] wanders.
