pulāe ṇaṃ bhaṃte! kevatiyaṃ suyaṃ ahijjejjā?
goyamā! jahanneṇaṃ navamassa puvvassa tatiyaṃ āyāravatthuṃ, ukkoseṇaṃ nava puvvāiṃ ahijjejjā|

goyamā! jahanneṇaṃ aṭṭha pavayaṇamāyāo, ukkoseṇaṃ dasa puvvāiṃ ahijjejjā| evaṃ paḍisevaṇākusīle vi|
kasāyakusīle–pucchā|
goyamā! jahanneṇaṃ aṭṭha pavayaṇamāyāo, ukkoseṇaṃ coddasa puvvāiṃ ahijjejjā| evaṃ niyaṃṭhe vi|
siṇāe–pucchā|
goyamā! suyavatiritte hojjā|

"Gautama! At minimum, the third conduct-section of the ninth pūrva; at maximum, he would study nine pūrvas."
