"Venerable Sir! In how many kinds of knowledge would a pulāka be?"
"Gautama! He may be in two or in three. When being in two, he would be in the two: sensory knowledge and scriptural knowledge. When being in three, he would be in the three: sensory knowledge, scriptural knowledge, and clairvoyant knowledge. Likewise also the bakuśa. Likewise also the paḍisevaṇākusīla."
"Regarding the kasāyakusīla..."—the question.
"Gautama! He may be in two, or in three, or in four. When being in two, he would be in the two: sensory knowledge and scriptural knowledge. When being in three, he would be in the three: sensory knowledge, scriptural knowledge, and clairvoyant knowledge; or, when being in three, he would be in sensory knowledge, scriptural knowledge, and mind-reading knowledge. When being in four, he would be in the four: sensory knowledge, scriptural knowledge, clairvoyant knowledge, and mind-reading knowledge. Likewise also the nirgrantha."
"Regarding the snātaka..."—the question.
"Gautama! He would be in the single omniscience."
