jīve ṇaṃ bhaṃte! nāṇāvaraṇijjaṃ kammaṃ baṃdhamāṇe kati kammappagaḍīo baṃdhati?
goyamā! sattavihabaṃdhae vā, aṭṭhavihabaṃdhae vā, chavvihabaṃdhae vā| baṃdhuddeso pannavaṇāe neyavvo|

"Venerable Sir! When a jīva binds knowledge-obscuring karma, how many karma configurations does it bind?"
"Gautama! It is a binder of seven types, or a binder of eight types, or a binder of six types. The chapter on binding is to be understood according to the Prajñāpanā."
