[27] tad evaṃ dina-katipaye parama-ramaṇena gamita-samaye sa tu nṛśaṃsaḥ kaṃsa-nāmā yathārha-varṇa-kṛta-varṇanataḥ samākīrṇa-tat-tad-vṛndāvanāgamanādi-vṛttāntaḥ svāntaś cintayāmāsa-

Thus, when a few days had been spent in supreme delight, that cruel one named Kaṃsa, through the description given by his spy as was proper, learned the entire news of his going to Vṛndāvana and other matters, and reflected within his mind:
