suhṛl-lokā ye ye sura-ripu-jitā yarhi militās
tadā satyaṃ sarve samayur abhitaḥ prītim atulām |
yadā tu śrīmātā sapadi militā prema-vivaśā
tad āstāṃ tad-vārtā, sakala-janatāgād drava-daśām || [śikhariṇī]

Whatever friends met the conqueror of the enemies of the gods then,
they all truly experienced incomparable love on every side.
But when the glorious mother immediately met him, overcome with love,
then let alone that talk—all the people reached a state of melting away! // 1.13.49
