1.16.42

nūnaṃ nidāghena vibhūya jajñe
santaptir āsāṃ hari-rāginīnām |
varṣāsu śāmyed iti saṅginīnāṃ
nirṇītir āsīd viparīta-rītiḥ || [indravajrā]

"Surely the burning pain of these maidens impassioned for Hari
was born because of the summer;
it should cease in the rainy season"—such was the conclusion of their companions,
which turned out entirely the opposite way.
