1.16.43

varṣā dvitīyā dadhire' kṣi-nīrair
antaḥ sphurat-kṛṣṇa-ghanābhir ābhiḥ |
itthaṃ nininduḥ kila te ruvantaḥ
svājīvya-varṣānugatāḥ plavādyāḥ || [indravajrā]

With their eyes' tears, these women—whose inner hearts had the dark cloud Kṛṣṇa flashing—
formed a second rainy season;
and so, crying out, birds like the plavas and others
who depend upon the rainy season for their livelihood, censured them.
