smarārdha-candra-bāṇābhā yatraike bhānti conmukhāḥ || [anuṣṭubh]
During these rains, the tail-feathers of the peacocks
became a source of torment to them;
for some [of those feathers], facing upwards,
resembled the crescent-moon arrows of Smara.
