After a short while, an excellent boy from the inner apartments approached Śrī Rāma and Kṛṣṇa, the elder and younger, who were seated side by side, eager to honour the gathered kinsmen, and whispered into their ears; and having received their approval, he went to the illustrious lord of Vraja's land, who was amazed by their appearance. And with merely folded hands expressing humility, [the boy] implicitly invited them to dine, conveying: 'Today is the auspicious, prosperous birthday star of the boy obtained through the grace of the wielder of the Śrīvatsa mark.' With great delight, they glanced at one another, stood up together, and proceeded to the inner apartments.
