[35] “Did Acyuta, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, in close embrace with his beloved, unseparated from her presence, approach near you, expanding a bliss far exceeding even the joy born of merely seeing him alone, through limbs touched by her beauty, for your eyes such as they are?” There, by words containing praise of that couple, they set forth the cause: “beloved” (kāntā) and so on. The fragrance of the kunda garland belonging to the ornament of the royal family of Gokula, unattainable anywhere else, spreads here carried by a breeze resembling the broken speed mingling with its heavy scent. Of what kind of garland? Thickly coated with the paste of kunkuma from the breasts through contact with the body of his beloved—who, by supreme merit and supreme possession of all good qualities, is the supreme abode of the eager longing even of him. Therefore, having embraced that extraordinary fragrance through continuous intimate acquaintance, it is clearly perceived by these [women] in that manner; such is the meaning.
