[44] They also introduce the cause of such wonder, saying: 'yan naḥ' ('since, leaving us...'). For, by the splendor of her qualities and beauty, quickly winning all hearts, Śrī Govinda himself led her away; it was not that he did not lead her away. And the manner of it was accomplished by placing her against his chest, brimming with the ways of love, and not otherwise. That love, too, was concentrated in a solitary place filled with the rising splendor of passion, and not esteemed in an ordinary manner. That assembling in secret, too, was augmented by virtues swollen by an abundance of the wealth of happiness, and not detached from that. And that happened precisely at a time when we, who are astonished by all virtues, were awake to abandonment, and not through any exchange; thus, even as he was going, he led her away himself.
