sambhāvitaṃ na valate sma yad asmakābhis tvat-prāptir atra bhaviteti tayā ca jātam | vijñāpanaṃ tu na idaṃ śṛṇu kṛṣṇa tasmin aṅgīkṛtaṃ pariharanti na jātu santaḥ || [vasantatilakā]

"That your attainment by us here would come to pass was never imagined, yet it has occurred through [fortune]; / therefore, hear this petition of ours, O Kṛṣṇa: the virtuous never abandon what they have accepted!"
