ābhir bhāgyaṃ vadhūnāṃ madhu-nagara-bhuvāṃ yan nutaṃ bhāvi-kṛṣṇa-
prekṣāyāṃ hanta tasmād gatir api ca nijā tatra caiṣīti śaṅke |
icchāṃ cāsāṃ mṛdūnāṃ svayam api rahasi prekṣyamāṇe nijāṅge
lajjā-vistāra-bhājām asakṛd ahaha tāṃ cintayitvā dunomi ||

'Alas! Since they praised the good fortune of the women of Madhupura in seeing Kṛṣṇa in the future, / I suspect that they too wished to go there! / And when I think again and again of the longing of these gentle women, / who felt an overwhelming shame even when gazing upon their own limbs in secret, I am tormented. //
