āyāta prāṇa-sakhyo vayam iha nikaṭāḥ koṭayaḥ prāṇa-nāthaṃ
prītyāvṛttaṃ vitanmaḥ kim iva guru-janā naḥ kariṣyanti nāma |
itthaṃ tās taṃ dravantīr mṛdu-caritavatīr apy alaṃ tīvra-bhāvāḥ
kṣiptāś cakrur yad anye tad iha mama balāt prāṇa-ghātaṃ karoti ||

'Come, dear companions! Let millions of us approach here and encircle the lord of our lives / with love! What indeed will the elders do to us?' / As they rushed toward him in this way—gentle in conduct, yet full of intense emotion— / the fact that others pushed them away strikes violently at my very life here! //
