[55] atha tena nidigdha-dhīr api vṛndā sandigdham ācacāra-padma-purāṇam iva katham acchadma na tad vraja-pratyāgamanaṃ vacana-sadma cakāra sa ca purāṇa-sāraḥ |

[55] Then, although her intellect was settled by that, Vṛndā raised a doubt: 'Why did that essence of the Purāṇas not make that return to Vraja an abode of words openly, without guise, like the Padma Purāṇa?'
