[57] sā tu rākṣasa-pakṣiṇī "muñca muñca" iti puṣṭa-kruṣṭatayā vyathita-sanīḍāṃ pīḍāṃ prapañcayantī prāṇān api muñcantī saṃskāra-vaśāt taṃ vakṣasy eva nikṣipya pakṣa-vikṣepād vrajād bahiḥ sasāra mamāra ca | yatra hrādinī sā hrādinīty eva tarkyate sma, yatra ca svarūpāvasthitim eva cāsasāra |

[57] But that demoness-bird, crying loudly 'Release me! Release me!', exhibiting pain that shattered her core and giving up her life-breaths, by force of habit threw him upon her chest, flew outside of Vraja with a flap of her wings, and died. Where she [fell], she was thought to be a thunderbolt, and there she returned to her natural form.
