[16] tad anu ca sarva eva śāntatāmāyāntas tad-antaṃ samantataḥ śakaṭa-nikaṭa-saṃvalakān bālakān eva papracchuḥ | te ca tad-eka-nirdeśinyā darśayantas tam eva nirdidiśuḥ | tatraiko lohalo' py agra-vādī nivārita-kolāhalaḥ pralalāpa, "ma ma mama pā pā pā pārśvataḥ śrūyatām, ya ya ya yadā ca ca caraṇa mu mutthāpitavān ayam, ta ta ta tadā te tena spṛṣṭa-mātro ḍi ḍi ḍi ḍi ḍīna ivodvṛttaḥ so' yaṃ śa śa śa śakaṭaḥ" iti |

Thereupon, as everyone gradually calmed down, they asked the boys gathered all around near the cart about the outcome of the matter. The boys, pointing with a single index finger, showed him alone. There, one boy who stuttered, yet spoke first when the commotion was quieted, bab-babbled: “L-l-l-listen from m-m-m-me! Wh-wh-wh-when h-h-he lifted up his f-f-foot, th-th-then, the m-m-moment it was touched by h-h-him, that c-c-c-cart rolled over as if it had fl-fl-fl-fl-flown!”
