brahmaṇo mānasādatriḥ somastatputratāṃ gataḥ /
tasya vaṃśaṃ pravakṣyāmi yatra jāto 'si pārthiva //
Siṃhagiri said:
From the mind of Brahmā came Atri; Soma became his son;
I shall proclaim his lineage, in which you, O king, were born.
