apaneyam udetum icchatā timiraṃ roṣamayaṃ dhiyā puraḥ
avibhidya niśākṛtaṃ tamaḥ prabhayā nāṃśumatāpy udīyate //

He who desires to rise must first dispel with his intellect the darkness of wrath; / not even the sun rises with brilliance without first breaking through the darkness wrought by the night.
