prababhūva nālam avalokayituṃ paritaḥ sarojarajasāruṇitam
sariduttarīyam iva saṃhatimat sa taraṅgaraṅgi kalahaṃsakulam //

He could not look enough at the flock of noble swans / frolicking upon the waves, dense and reddened on all sides / by the pollen of lotuses, / like the river's upper garment.
