hradāmbhasi vyastavadhūkarāhate ravaṃ mṛdaṅgadhvanidhīram ujjhati
muhustanais tālassamaṃ samādade manoramaṃ nṛtyam iva pravepitam //
With its water adorned by smiling faces reflected in it, mocking the white lotuses with their beauty,
the Gaṅgā, favoured by the women of Indra, attained the fulfilment of its purity.
