3.50

ciraṃ ruditvā karuṇaṃ sa-śabdaṃ gotrā'bhidhāyaṃ saritaṃ sametya
madhye-jalād rāghava-lakṣmaṇābhyāṃ prattaṃ jalaṃ dvyañjalamantike'pām.

Having wept for a long time piteously and with loud cries, approaching the river and reciting his lineage, / a double handful of water was offered from the midst of the water near the stream by Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa.
