aparikṣatakomalasya yāvat kusumasyeva navasya ṣaṭpadena /
adharasya pipāsatā mayā te sadayaṃ sundari gṛhyate raso 'sya //
(iti mukham asyāḥ samunnamayitum icchati / śakuntalā pariharati nāṭyena)
(nepathye)
cakravākavadhuke āmantrayasva sahacaram / upasthitā rajanī /
śaku (sasaṃbhramam) paurava asaṃśayaṃ mama śarīravṛttāntopalambhāyāryā gautamī ita evāgacchati / tad viṭapāntarito bhava /
