With the parṇīs, lotus root, rhizome joints, pearls, kataka, and duckweed, / or with cloth and gomedaka stone, one should bring about its clearing. // Those [digestive fires], having cooked [food], in turn nourish according to their own nature the qualities of the elements that reside in the body and exist as their modifications. // From pitta, he is irascible, reddish-yellow in complexion, and fond of quarrels. // One should eat śāli, ṣaṣṭika, wheat, barley, mudga, and kulattha. // For because of the restraint of prāṇa and udāna, whose passage is very well known, / the apāna wind quickly pulls out that enema. // May the god Naigameṣa, who is beneficial to children, protect the child.
