ity aṣṭau vai pradiṣṭāni nidānāni śarīriṇām | vimānāni pravakṣyāmi yathāvadanupūrvaśaḥ || ity āha bhagavān ātreyaḥ | iti bhele aṣṭamo ' dhyāyaḥ || iti bhelasaṃhitāyāṃ nidānasthānaṃ samāptam || || vimānasthānam || | |prathamo ' dhyāyaḥ || athāto rasavimānaṃ vyākhyāsyāma iti ha smāha bhagavān ātreyaḥ |

thus eight etiologies of embodied beings have been declared. / I shall explain the specific determinations properly in succession.
